Green & fleshy vegetables

Leaves, stems and “fruit vegetables” (tomato, zucchini, eggplant…): the bulky base of the plate, low in calories and full of water.

Why?
Each species brings a different mix of fibers and polyphenols — and each mix feeds different bacteria. Volume matters as much as variety.
Tip
Vary the colors through the week and keep cooking al dente: the fibers reach the colon more intact.
Counting
Raw or cooked, fresh or frozen: whatever the form, a normal serving ticks the category. A cloudy juice or one with pulp keeps enough pectins and polyphenols to tick the category, but does not credit the plant: you drink it, you do not eat the fruit. A clarified juice does not count at all.
The app's landmark
A serving of about 200 g, every 3 days.
